I couldn’t resist photographing my large glass sweet jar, now a button container (it was full of soap!)….. I should really tip out the contents to see the buttons at the centre of this button mass. Perhaps I will, but not tonight as I want to post this and then continue making my string bag. I am using some white Indian cotton as it has been sitting on the wool stash shelf for a very long time and a 5mm crochet hook.
The wool shop is open tomorrow and I am hoping that the yarn to finish my hand warmers has arrived. I would like to be able to say I’ve finished that project.
About hookandply
I am a painter and maker. I love experimenting with colour and textures and I find wools and fabrics irresistable. I was taught to knit by my mother and have always felt comfortable with all things knitting but about two years ago I started to learn to crochet and got hooked. I have various projects scattered around the house so that I can pick up a project wherever I am. If I go out I take some trusty crochet with me to do when I am enjoying a break in a cafe. It is a good starting point for a conversation. Has anyone else found this?
My most resent passion is Lindy Hop and the 1940's but that is another story.
Those hand warmers are lovely
Thank you. I hope to get them finished soon. 🙂
Shall look forward to seeing them finished
