Rosie cosy just for you…..

The ‘Rosie Cosy’ is complete with twelve everlasting red roses. I had to motivate myself into a rose making mood and have done a box of extras, waiting in the wings for their debut into the world of yarn two yarn.They are easy too make and I often take little balls of yarn out with me so that I can make a petal string or two. I have decided to try and build up a bank of flowers to adorn items.I
Iron the petal string and then roll and stitch.
What a stash ……. !!!

Make a rose
Chain 48, Petals 1 – 3, Miss 3 chain, 1 tr in each of next 2 ch, 2ch, ss in next ch, repeat two more times, petals 4 – 6, 4ch, 1dtr in each of next 4ch, 3ch, ss in next ch, repeat two more times, petals 7 – 9, 4ch, 1dtr in each of next 6ch, ch3, ss in next chain, repeat two more times and fasten off. Press petals, roll making sure the base is flat and stitch.

I am a painter and maker. I love experimenting with colour and textures and I find wools and fabrics irresistable. I was taught to knit by my mother and have always felt comfortable with all things knitting but about two years ago I started to learn to crochet and got hooked. I have various projects scattered around the house so that I can pick up a project wherever I am. If I go out I take some trusty crochet with me to do when I am enjoying a break in a cafe. It is a good starting point for a conversation. Has anyone else found this? My most resent passion is Lindy Hop and the 1940's but that is another story.
